Description

During the first century of the Bahá'í Faith, heroes from each generation advanced the Cause of God with a transcendent spirit: the Letters of the Living, the Apostles of Bahá'u'lláh, the Disciples of 'Abdu'l-Bahá. While their predecessors faced intense persecution, imprisonment and martyrdom for their beliefs, the Disciples of 'Abdu'l-Bahá, both men and women from North America and Europe, likewise offered their hearts, their means and their lives in unflinching service to the Cause across the globe. Their stories are filled with ardour, bravery and steadfastness in the face of uncertainty, disunity and Covenant-breaking during the first two decades of the twentieth century. This book examines the lives of the 21 inspiring souls designated as 'Disciples of 'Abdu'l-Bahá' in the photo montages compiled for the Bahá'í World Volumes by Shoghi Effendi.
